About the Exhibition

Large parts of the exhibition will emphasize the rich history of the Caribbean which provides a glimpse into the 18th century lifestyle. Here you will find sculptures from the “Golden Age of Piracy”, with shipwrecks, lighthouses and animal life, among many other beautiful and historical sculptures made of ice. And then, imagine, a huge ice bar which look like a shipwreck, that will sit in the center of the ice gallery. Upon entering, visitors will be given warm clothing to wear during the tour.

By combining ice, sound and history – we aim on creating a unique experience were you can take the time to savor the extraordinary atmosphere of this dynamic new realm of ice, art and leisure!

Music and the glow of candlelight help create the unique magical atmosphere. Warm coat, gloves and shoes will be lent out for free.

This is world class ice art. Artists from different parts of the world have created “art below zero” in Charlotte Amalie.

Magic Ice is designed to provide visitors with an exceptional and unique experience – a “wow”-type experience,the kind that they have never had the opportunity to see before.
There will be dramatically lit sculptures and installations made of ice, which will be presented along with sound, music and images.
